Founded in 1940 by Gaetano Piazza, known as “Tanino”, in Ponte dell’Olio, in the province of Piacenza, the San Bono company is still family-owned today and is run by the third generation.

Traditional methods, long-standing recipes and craftsmanship, combined with the most modern technologies, have allowed it to grow and stand out on the Italian scene, obtaining important awards and major certifications.

Passion, creativity and experience come together to give life to an assortment of delicacies, which includes coppa, pancetta and salami, typical of Piacenza, and many other tasty specialities.

Processed according to the highest standards, every type of cured meat derives from the experience and the great attention to detail that allowed San Bono to obtain ISO 9002 certification in 1997 and ISO 22000 in 2012. ISO 22000 certification is the fundamental standard that guarantees agri-food safety “from farm to table” based on internationally recognized fundamental principles. This once again demonstrates the company’s commitment to producing high-quality products in full compliance not only with traditions, but also with the required standards. San Bono can also boast of being one of the first companies with an EC export permit.
